Construction

Pre construction site Inspections:

  • Observe existing conditions and verify whether or not new design will work with structural and utility challenges.
  • Observe property layout and organize job logistics for a plan of limited guest interference and disruption of normal operating routines.
  • Take all dimensions of existing site for verification of quantities and take-offs for owner provided materials.
  • Determine the best means of on site staff living conditions in order to limit cost to client for housing, subsistence, etc…

Designer/Architect Draft reviews:

  • Determine availabilities and lead times of all specified materials.
  • Formulate RFI’s to clarify intent and feasibility.
  • Distribute to familiar subs for budget credibility.

Open discussion sessions:

  • Present budget concerns and lead item restraints.
  • Openly discuss value engineering options.
  • Discuss scheduling options.
  • Establish a chain of command protocol.
  • Discuss Permit requirements and plan expediting.
